Meet Olivia:
I chose UCI Law for a number of reasons. But above all else, their approach to legal education was exciting and refreshing to me. Now that I'm enrolled, I can say with certainty that I made the right choice. My favorite aspect of UCI Law is their commitment to preparing its students for a career in law. From pro bono and clinic opportunities to a specialized curriculum, UCI Law prepares us for the practice (not just the study) of law. Lawyering Skills has been my favorite class at UCI Law so far. I have really enjoyed developing the practical skills required to do well in this field - from research and writing to client interviews. I really appreciate the opportunity to learn by doing and feel like I've already made significant improvements in my writing ability. I was an ambassador for my undergraduate school and loved connecting with prospective students. Especially being out of state, I know first-hand how encounters with Ambassadors and school tours can really shape your opinion of a school.
