Fall Mid-Semester Review Week: October 14 - October 18  

3Ls: 2024-2025 Bar Exam Equity Fund: This fund will award up to seven bar prep courses and two discount bar prep courses based on need. Application materials must be submitted to asp@law.uci.edu by Thursday, October 31 at 5:00pm. See ASP's 10/2 email for more details.

LexisNexis Student Ambassador Office Hours: Stop by with legal research questions. See Dr. J's 10/2 email for times and locations.

Final Mock Trial Intramural Competition: Saturday, October 5; 9:00am; EDU 1121: Congratulations to the four finalists, Nicka Fallah, Gabe Kirsch, Héctor Guevara, and Connor Lennard! Come support your fellow classmates and witness who will become the Mock Trial Intramural Competition Champion.

1Ls: Outlining Workshop with APALSA, BLSA, FGP, LLSA, and MESALSA: Tuesday, October 8; 6:00pm to 7:00pm, ZoomLearn tips on how to create and structure an outline, different types of outlines, and helpful study tips. Witness those tips in action with an example outline for one of the 1L courses.

Business Law Society x Ropes & Gray Coffee Chats: Learning the Ropes: Sign up for a coffee chat with an experienced attorney mentor from Ropes & Gray to receive career guidance and a free e-gift card for a local coffee shop. The priority deadline to register is Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:59 pm.

Orange County Asian American Bar Association (OCAABA): 2024-2025 Mentorship ProgramParticipants will be paired with an experienced attorney or judge for general guidance on the legal profession, including career tips and skill development. Students must be current OCAABA members, attend at least one event, and meet or call once per semester to foster the mentoring relationship. Apply by Thursday, October 31

World Mental Health Day - Thursday, October 10: Many organizations promote this as an opportunity to raise awareness, share resources, and advocate for change.

1Ls: The Foundation of the Federal Bar Association Scholarship: The Dr. J. Clay Smith Jr. Diversity in the Legal Profession Scholarship promotes diversity and encourages racial and ethnic minority students to complete law school. At least one recipient will receive a $15,000 scholarship, disbursed over three years of law school, along with a complimentary FBA student associate membership. Apply by November 1.

MAX by AccessLex Scholarship Drawing: Friday, November 1: Increase your chances of winning a $5,000 scholarship by completing your course activities and attending personal finance webinars in MAX. Each session you attend will earn you additional scholarship entries.

Institute for Justice's (IJ) Legal Intensive: Saturday, November 9; Pepperdine Law School; Malibu, CA: This one-day law training program focuses on helping students learn and practice public interest strategies, with a focus on the practitioner skills necessary to be a successful public interest attorney. Apply by October 14.

2Ls & 3Ls: The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP)This free recruitment and referral program connects federal and private sector employers nationwide with highly motivated students with disabilities who are eager to prove their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs. 1Ls: Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD): Success in Law School Mentoring Program: This mentoring program is available to diverse students, providing them with personalized mentoring from attorneys at the most prestigious law firms and corporate legal departments.  Register by Monday, November 18.
