CDO Note on Attendance at Events: If you RSVP for an event, you should attend absent an emergency.  For on-campus events, the CDO shares expected attendance with employers, when requested. For all events, decisions are made based on the number of students expected to attend, including catering orders, which incur expenses. Employers also take attendance and make note of those students who registered and did not attend. Lack of attendance without an explanation is generally considered unprofessional. We know your schedules are busy and you have many responsibilities to balance. Please take this into consideration when registering for events and only RSVP for events you can attend.

Emails to ILS should include the impacted individual’s full name, DOB, contact information, and a brief summary of their immigration history (e.g.:  “Peter Doe is a UCI student/staff who was detained in Menifee, CA on 01/20/2025.
