1Ls: Annual Bay Area Diversity Career Fair (BADCF): BADCF will be held virtually on July 10th (virtual panel) and July 11th (virtual interviews) for students to engage with leading law firms, corporate in-house legal departments, government agencies, nonprofit and other private/public legal employers. Student registration and bidding opens Monday, April 4. Register and finish bidding by Friday, May 30th!
Dress To Transgress: Mark your calendars for next week for the fourth annual Dress to Transgress, an event that critiques the concept of “professionalism” as it is normatively defined and reinforced in the legal profession. On this day, law students and professionals alike are encouraged to dress as they would if “professionalism” fully encompassed and embraced their identities, cultures, and communities. On Wednesday, March 19 at 12PM in MPAA 420 there will be a collaborative zine workshop, where as a community we will reimagine what professional norms in the legal profession could look like. The zine materials and light snacks will be provided! On Thursday, March 20 at 12PM in EDU 1111 is the keynote panel discussion with Dean of Boston University Law School Angela Onwuachi-Willig, East Bay Community Law Center attorney and National Trans Bar Association Board Member Milo Manopoulos Beitman, University of California, Irvine Law Professor Swethaa Ballakrishnen, and University of California, Irvine Law Alum and Dress to Transgress Founder J Tharp. Civil Rights Litigation Clinic Presents Trans Rights Teach-In on Tuesday, March 25 @ 12:15pm in MPAA 430: RSVP here. Join UCI Law’s Civil Rights Litigation Clinic to learn about and discuss the current state of trans rights and the law. Panelists from academia and nonprofit civil rights organizations will discuss the changing legal landscape at the local, state, and federal level, their work and research in this area, and how law students can be zealous advocates on behalf of trans rights. Panelists will speak in conversation with each other, followed by a pre-submitted and live audience Q&A session. Pizza will be provided.

Copies have been posted on the student bulletin boards within the Law School and pocket/wallet-sized cards are available for pick-up in the Student Affairs and Student Services Suite (MPAA 210). The suite also has red cards available from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
