Meet Megan:
Hi! I'm Megan, a 2L transfer student at UC Irvine Law. I was born and raised in Orange County, and I love chatting about my decision to return to OC—and specifically to UC Irvine—to pursue my law degree.
I graduated with a Biology degree from UC Berkeley in 2020, originally planning to enter the medical field. During COVID, I worked as an EMT with LA County Fire, which led me to reassess my career path. After spending some time back in the Bay Area working in healthcare, I ultimately decided to pursue law school.
Although I started at a different law school for my 1L year, I quickly realized that I wanted to return to Orange County, be closer to my family, and be in the market I hoped to work in. UC Irvine's technical focus on law—through clinics, classes, and extracurriculars—immediately drew me in. The community here has been incredibly welcoming, and I’m so grateful for everyone's support as I acclimate to a new environment. I’ve been able to engage in every activity I set my sights on, and I’m excited for the opportunities that are still ahead.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, playing with my adorable dog (I’m always happy to talk about her!), and spending time with my family around OC’s beautiful landscapes.
I’m here to help any prospective students—whether you’re a 1L or a 2L—and I look forward to answering all of your questions! I remember how uncertain I felt when entering my 1L and 2L years, and I’d love to be as helpful a resource as I can be. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
