It is our hope that to those considering applying to our law school, that they will do as much as they can to learn about our program to see what makes the UC Irvine Law community so special. It’s not enough to just visit campus, we truly want you to experience it so you will be in a position to make an informed decision based on fit and alignment of values. Experience UC Irvine Law is a series of in-person and virtual programs designed to illustrate why we have rapidly become one of the top law schools in the nation.

We invite you to look through our fall Experience UC Irvine Law series and hope you will be able to join us at one or more of our events. Programming for spring 2025 will be posted in January.

Fall 2024 Experience UC Irvine Law Series

Coffee, Chat & Connection

It’s no secret that Team Admissions & Aid loves coffee. But we also love getting to know students! And there is no better way to do that than over a cup of coffee (or water, tea, etc.). Our Coffee, Chat & Connection Series is a comprehensive program that gives prospective students a glimpse at what makes our law school exceptional. In addition to coffee in the courtyard, you will learn about our admissions process, hear from our current students in a facilitated panel discussion, take a law school tour, and have the option to speak with a member of the Admissions staff one-on-one.

This event is approximately 90 minutes.

Setting You Up for Success

Our application review process is very holistic and we hope that we can learn as much about you as possible when reviewing your application. Each fall we host a series of workshops titled Setting You Up for Success” that focuses on various components to our law school admissions process. Participants will receive expert advice, practical tips and strategies, and learn about resources that help craft a well-rounded application. Whether you're looking to refine your personal statement, figure out what to include/exclude on your resume, or explore the multiple ways to fund your legal education, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Unless otherwise noted, all sessions are virtual and are 60 minutes.

We invite all undergraduate Pre-Law Societies to connect with us, either in-person or virtually. We love to host local organizations on our campus or if our schedule permits, we’d love to come to yours. We are also happy to do virtual presentations on topics of your choosing – whether it be a discussion on the program at UC Irvine Law, or a more in-depth conversation about the law school admissions process, we are happy to connect with your group. Personalized Virtual Advising

We recognize that some people may just have a quick question, or some may feel more comfortable asking questions in a one-on-one setting. We are happy to offer virtual appointments with our Admissions and Student Financial Services Staff. We can also connect you with any of our current students so you can learn more about their experiences.

Admissions staff offer 20-minute virtual appointments that are intended to answer your questions. We ask that if you schedule an appointment, that you come prepared with specific questions. Anything discussed in these meetings will have no bearing on the application review process and appointments should not be seen as an interview.

Ben Kwak > Colleen Roney >

Our Student Financial Services staff are here to help educate you on how to finance your legal education and budget while in law school. In this 20-minute appointment, you should come prepared with questions on topics such as merit scholarships, need-based grants, outside scholarship opportunities, debt management, loan repayment forgiveness programs, or anything else related to financing.

Nasreen Zia >     Jennifer Terrazas >

If you prefer to connect with our ambassadors individually, you can make that request via our Admissions Ambassadors website. Because our ambassadors are volunteers and full-time law students, conversations will mostly be via email. However, if ambassador’s schedule allows, they may be able to schedule a brief virtual appointment.

UC Irvine Law Virtual Tour

We understand that some prospective students might not be able to make the trip to Irvine to see our beautiful campus in person, we invite you to check out our virtual tour.
