Meet Mimi:
Hey! My name is Mimi, and if you're reading this, you're probably going through the process of deciding whether (this) law school is for you.

As a first-generation Vietnamese American professional, I understand how daunting the path to higher education can be, especially when you don't know any lawyers or have access to resources, but that's exactly why I am an Admissions Ambassador and I hope to serve as a resource to you.

Growing up in San Bernardino, I saw and experienced a lot of things that made me want substantive change for my community, so I started taking college classes my sophomore year of high school and getting involved in extracurriculars like mock trial to get into college. As a Regents' Scholar at UC Irvine, I pursued two bachelor's degrees in the globally applicable disciplines of law and economics, graduating cum laude with Special Recognition for Multi-disciplinary Achievement.

Since starting at UC Irvine Law, I have been involved as a First Generation Professionals Representative and have had the opportunity to contribute to many pro bono projects, which is an aspect of practical learning and application that drew me to UC Irvine. I've worked with the Saturday Academy of Law (SAL) pre-law pipeline program as a Teaching Assistant and Program Coordinator since undergrad, and I continue to serve communities that look like my own by supporting that same program as a law student, assisting with high-impact litigation, drafting estate planning documents for low-income clients, and conducting client intake interviews.

When I'm not reading doctrinal books or briefing, I read recreationally (e.g. Malcolm Gladwell), go to concerts, play my electric guitar, and lift. I'm here to share my experiences and help you discover all that UC Irvine Law has to offer, so please do not hesitate to contact me.
