Important Changes to Your LawNet Google Account

With the rise in cybersecurity attacks, the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) has initiated mandates on cybersecurity measures that will need to be implemented. One of those mandates requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on all University email accounts using UCINetID authentication with DUO security. Once this switch is made, you will no longer be able to access your LawNet Google account using your Google login. You must authenticate using your UCINetID with DUO.

This switch will occur on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 8:00am PST.

To avoid any disruption in access to your LawNet Google account, please be sure to do the following:

Before November 4:

  • Turn on Google 2-Factor authentication by visiting Google Support.
  • Ensure that you are still able to login using your UCINetID. Go to https://login.uci.edu
If you have forgotten your UCINetID password, the following page will instruct you on how to reset your password: UCInetID Password Reset)
  • Enroll in DUO if you have not already done so. The following page is a resource on how to enroll: DUO Enrollment

After November 4 at 8:00am PST: Reset your Google account settings to login using your UCINetID with DUO.

If you run into issues with DUO enrollment or activating your UCINetID, you can contact oit@uci.edu or call 949-824-2222 (M-F 8am to 5pm PST).

If you have questions regarding you LawNet Google account, you can contact help@law.uci.edu or call 949-824-1434 (M-F 8am to 5pm PST).
