Gina James is an enrolled member of the Quinault Indian Nation (QIN). She lives in Taholah, WA with her husband and two daughters.  James graduated from Grays Harbor College with Associate of Arts degree, and The Evergreen State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Native American Studies.  She has served on the Quinault Business Committee (QBC) as Tribal Secretary from 2000 to 2009 & 2013 to current as council member. She is now the senior member serving on the QBC. James has also served on the Taholah School Board as a board of director since 2015.  She is a strong advocate for educating tribal membership and had successfully advocated expanding the QIN's Education program to include youth and college advocates programs.  She also served for many years on QIN's, Land and Natural Resource Committee, which manages Quinault's 200,000+ acre reservation, the Treaty Fishing and Hunting rights, on and off reservation, and the tribes Usual & Accustomed hunting and fishing areas.  Her hobbies include gardening, reading books, and spending time with her grandchildren.
