  •  Anthony Calderon headshot

    Anthony Calderon

    Anthony received his J.D. from the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, and an MBA in Sports Business from Concordia University in spring 2024. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Marketing from Concordia University in Spring 2021. At Louisville, he was involved in the Christian Legal Society, Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and Tech Law Society, and he spent nearly half his law school education as a visiting student at UC Irvine School of Law, where he developed an interest in tax law through the CA State Tax Clinic and after taking Federal Income Taxation and Tax Exempt Organizations. Anthony has written papers on the PAC-12 Conference collapse and sports gambling regulation. Passionate about the Los Angeles Angels, he also enjoys attending Rams and Patriots games, watching the UFC, and Louisville football.

  • Robert Heaven

    Robbie Heaven practices estate planning law and trust litigation and has previously practiced general civil litigation and corporate M&A. The UC Irvine Graduate Tax Program will provide Robbie with valuable knowledge and allow him to provide superior representation to his clients. Before practicing law in the United States, he was a barrister in Australia. Robbie was awarded Honors First Class in Commerce/Accounting at the University of South Australia. He then completed his law studies at the University of Adelaide, receiving an LL.B. and LL.M.  He also received an LL.M. from USC. Robbie is trained as an infantryman, has served on active duty in the United States Army, and currently serves in the Reserve.  In his spare time, Robbie enjoys hiking and going to the gym.

  • James Kritenbrink

    James Kritenbrink received his J.D. with high distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2017 and was admitted to the State Bar of California in the fall of that same year. After graduation, James joined Keesal, Young & Logan as a corporate and transactional associate in its Long Beach office. His practice focuses on small-mid-market mergers and acquisitions, real estate and commercial transactions, and serving as outside counsel for companies in various industries. Before law school, James earned his B.S. in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He worked as an estimator and project manager for a demolition subcontractor in the L.A. Basin. James lives in Long Beach with his wife and two-year-old daughter and is expecting another baby in late 2024.
  • Zachary McDaniel

    Zachary (Zaq) McDaniel is a Colorado native who earned his J.D. cum laude from California Western School of Law in spring 2024. While at Cal Western, Zaq served as a Senior Editor of the California Western Law Review and as a Class Representative for the Student Bar Association. He received a Distinguished Advocate Award at the Gill Trial Competition and an Academic Excellence Award in State and Local Tax. He also worked numerous internships, including two semesters of tax controversy work at RJS LAW, appellate work for the California Department of Justice, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. 

    In his free time, Zaq enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, learning Dutch, and playing various musical instruments, including saxophone and guitar. He also looks forward to restarting his mountain biking charity, Giving With Gravity, which was on hiatus while Zaq attended law school.

  • Kennie Sanchez headshot

    Kennie Sanchez

    Kennie J. Sanchez earned his J.D. from UCI Law in 2024. Kennie holds a B.S. in Applied Exercise Science from Azusa Pacific University and is a NASM-certified Corrective Exercise Specialist. Kennie discovered his passion for tax law in Professor Blank's Federal Income Taxation course. Since then, Kennie has taken numerous tax law courses and externed for the CA State Tax Clinic. Additionally, Kennie will be externing for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel during the Fall 2024 semester. Since starting law school, Kennie has set his sights on becoming an estate planning practitioner, and he continues to pursue this goal.

    Outside of work, Kennie enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, playing video games, and staying active through exercise. Kennie also loves visiting Disneyland with his wife and attending church with his family.

  • Sarah Saucedo headshot

    Sarah Saucedo

    Sarah Saucedo received her J.D. from Chapman University Fowler School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Cal Poly Pomona. She externed at the Orange County Superior Court and U.S. Bankruptcy Court during law school. She was also a senior articles editor at Chapman Law Review. Before law school, she served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Chapman’s tax law courses fueled her interest in furthering her tax training, with which she aims to serve as a government tax attorney. Sarah enjoys running, reading sci-fi, and playing guitar.

    Aeron Tisdale

    Aeron Tisdale received his J.D. with a Certificate in Taxation from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2024. He received a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2021. Aeron enjoyed taking Corporate Taxation and State and Local tax during law school. He also enjoyed volunteering at Loyola’s VITA clinic during tax season. Aeron served as Chief Justice of the Loyola College of Law Honor Board. He also participated in Loyola’s Moot Court program as an Oralist and Coach. Aeron enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends in his spare time. 

  • Tina Tran headshot

    Tina Tran

     Tina is a licensed California lawyer who received her J.D. from UC Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). While in law school, she served at several Public Defenders’ offices across California and as a student attorney for UC Law’s Social Enterprise Clinic. After law school, Tina served as a Deputy Judge Advocate for the United States Air Force, where she refined her litigation skills and developed a profound interest in estate planning. Tina’s commitment to social advocacy and justice has been a driving force throughout her career. Tina is passionate about empowering marginalized communities and advancing inclusive tax policies. In her free time, she enjoys lifting and playing competitive volleyball. 

  • Zhong Zhuang headshot

    Zhong Zhuang

    Zhong Zhuang graduated from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2024. During law school, she worked as a law clerk at the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic in Bloomington, Indiana, for two years. She was also a research assistant for Professor Leandra Lederman on multiple projects, including international tax transparency and corporate tax. In addition to her law school experience, Zhong gained significant exposure to tax law through two summer internships, one with a multinational company and the other with a public accounting firm. Outside of school and work, Zhong is an avid sports fan and enjoys running and riding her bicycle.
