Prof. Stoever Honored as 2020 Woman of the Year
UCI Law is pleased to share that Clinical Professor of Law Jane Stoever, has been named a 2020 Woman of the Year by Rep. Lou Correa. The honor recognizes exceptional women who live, work, or meaningfully impact the 46th Congressional District.
Prof. Stoever is the Director of the UCI Law Domestic Violence Clinic and Director of the UCI Initiative to End Family Violence. Her scholarly work focuses on the multiple oppressions domestic violence survivors face and explores ways that the law can better respond to complex experiences of intimate partner abuse. In addressing the interdisciplinary problem of domestic violence, her scholarship frequently brings together the worlds of law, public health, psychology, and survivors’ lived experiences.
