UCI Law Clinical Professor of Law Katharine Tinto Testifies Before CA State Assembly Committee
Leading expert in criminal law and procedure, UCI Law Clinical Professor of Law Katharine Tinto will testify, remotely, before the California State Assembly Committee on Public Safety on Tuesday, May 19. Prof. Tinto will testify in support of a bill that would allow formerly incarcerated individuals who have successfully completed Conservation (Fire) Camps while in prison to be able to expunge their convictions upon their release, enabling them to then become firefighters.
Prof. Tinto is the Director of the UCI Law Criminal Justice Clinic and an expert in criminal law, criminal procedure, criminal defense and crimmigration.
