UCI Law is pleased to announce it is ranked No. 6 in the nation, and No. 3 among public schools, in Tax Law by U.S. News & World Report. In addition, the UCI Law Graduate Tax Program is the No. 1-ranked graduate tax program on the West Coast and No. 5 nationwide among law schools with a graduate tax program (as ranked by the TaxProf Blog).
UCI Law offers a one-of-a-kind, practice-oriented Graduate Tax Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree program led by renowned tax scholars Joshua Blank, Victor Fleischer and Omri Marian. D’lorah Hughes, Director of Externships, oversees the Graduate Tax Program’s many externships and experiential learning offerings. Natascha Fastabend is the Executive Director of the Graduate Tax Program and is actively involved in the tax and estate planning community in Beverly Hills, Orange County, the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento.
The Graduate Tax Program offers a unique tax curriculum emphasizing practice skills and featuring small class sizes and a collegial, supportive learning environment. It provides students with both the doctrinal depth and the experiential learning needed to practice tax law and to develop a deep understanding of the new tax law enacted in 2017. The program prepares graduate students for careers as tax attorneys, judges, tax administrators and policy advocates in the United States and abroad, and also offers the opportunity for current practitioners to dramatically expand their tax knowledge and skills.
The current students and alumni of the UCI Law Graduate Tax Program have accepted positions at leading national law firms, major accounting firms, and the U.S. Tax Court.
