Nossaman LLP Funds Summer Fellowships for UCI Law Students
IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 12, 2010—Nossaman LLP is generously funding three summer fellowships of $4,000 each for UC Irvine School of Law students who work full-time on legal issues for a California state agency engaged in civil litigation or administrative law.
Examples of agencies that qualify for the Nossaman LLP Fellowship include but are not limited to the California Attorney General’s Office, California Coastal Commission, South Coast Air Quality Management District, Department of Mental Health, and the Water Resources Control Board. A complete list of agencies is available on the State of California web site (ca.gov).
The Nossaman LLP Fellowship is available only to UCI Law students whose summer work is not otherwise funded and for which no academic credit is received. Students must have accepted an offer from a California state agency to qualify for the fellowship.
If more than three students apply for the fellowship, a committee that comprises the Dean of Students, Dean of Development and External Affairs, and Director of Career Development will determine the award winners.
The application deadline is April 1, 2010. Decisions will be announced by April 15, 2010. Completed application forms should not exceed two pages and should be returned to the Career Development Office.
