Media Advisory: UC Irvine School of Law Hosts Fundraising Event for Public Interest Law Fund on March 1
IRVINE, Calif.—UC Irvine School of Law will host a Community Trivia Quest and auction on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa.
WHAT: Funds raised for the UCI Law Public Interest Law Fund will provide stipends for students working in public interest law firms during the summer. The event includes cocktails, entertainment, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and silent and live auctions.
WHO: The eight teams competing in the trivia contest represent AAA Automobile Club of Southern California; the Dean's Cabinet; Experian; Federal Bar Association, Orange County Chapter; The Irvine Company; Kia Motors America, Inc.; Oakley; and Law & Order. The Master of Ceremonies is Sen. Joseph Dunn (ret.), executive director of the State Bar of California.
