Office of Student Services
The services provided by our Dean of Students and Registrar’s Office include:
- Advising students on course selection and sequencing
- Counseling on academic and non-academic matters (including issues of academic performance, stress reduction, and other personal matters)
- Informing students about the Academic Rules and providing mechanisms for redress of problems or concerns
- Assisting with personal or family issues (e.g. illness or bereavement)
- Sponsoring programs that promote health and wellness
- Connecting students to the University’s Disability Services Center
- Coordinating Orientation and exam administration
- Maintaining official student records
- Scheduling courses and implementing course registration
- Certifying students for admission to the bar

Kyle Jones

MPAA 208B | (949) 824-1384Kyle Jones is the Assistant Dean for Student Services at UCI Law. In this role he manages the UCI Law Registrar’s office, provides academic advising to law students, interprets and implements the UCI academic rules and Honor Code and ensures that the law school remains compliant with ABA, state and federal rules. Before joining the UCI Law community, Dean Jones was the Dean of Students and Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the USC's Gould School of Law. He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from USC, as well as a J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law.

Tera Holmes

MPAA 210M | (949) 824-6730Tera Holmes joined UCI Law in May 2016 with over 16 years of experience in Registrar offices in higher education, most recently as Online Registrar at the Ultimate Medical Academy (Florida), Registrar at ITT Technical Institute (Florida), and Associate Registrar at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Tera earned her BA in Business and Law at Temple University, and an MS in Psychology at the University of Phoenix. She also has her AA in Paralegal Studies from Pierce College.
