  David S. Kim, MD

  David S. Kim is the assistant director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, an Associate Clinical Professor at The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and adjunct assistant clinical professor at the USC Keck School of Medicine.   

  Dr. Kim received his BS in Biochemistry from the University of California, at San Diego.  He then received his MD from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Kim completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The George Washington University, Washington, DC and advanced his training with a Master's and PhD in Clinical Research and MBA from the University of Hawaii.

  Dr. Kim has served on many American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG) National Committees, including the Coding & Nomenclature, Ambulatory Practice, and Practice Management Committees. He has been very involved with reducing health disparities in the Korean American community, and served as the past president of the Korean American Graduate Medical Association, board member and Research & Education Chair of the National Korean American Medical Association, and co-founded the Korean American Health Coalition.

  Hyun Jae Seo

  Hyun Jae Seo was born in Seoul and lived in Korea until the age of nine. His family then moved to California, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He attended Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts from 2012 to 2016 and graduated Manga Cum Laude with a BA in Biochemistry and Biophysics. In the fall of 2016, Hyun Jae began his medical education at the USC Keck School of Medicine, where he is currently a second-year medical student.

  Yanghee Woo, MD

  Associate Professor, Division of Sugical Oncology
  City of Hope

  Yanghee Woo is an accomplished surgeon scientist internationally recognized for her expertise in robotic surgery and gastric cancer. She graduated Princeton University with a BA in Political Science and certificate in East Asian studies. After receiving her MD from Drexel College of Medicine, she completed a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, surgical residency at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) and a clinical fellowship at Severance Hospital/Yonsei University, Seoul, S. Korea. Dr. Woo was recruited to City of Hope after 4 years on faculty at CUMC where she started the first gastric/pancreas cancer robotics program.

  At City of Hope, Dr. Woo is an Associate Professor of Surgery, Vice Chair of International Affairs, and the Director of Minimally Invasive Therapies program in the Division of Surgical Oncology and Department of Surgery. As a translational member of the Fong/ Chen research team, she works to bring novel oncolytic viral therapies to treat patients with advanced stage cancers. She also researches molecular biomarkers of early cancer detection in high-risk populations.

  With a passion for eliminating the cancer disparities that disproportionately impact minorities in the United States, Dr. Woo is an outspoken advocate for improving the health of the Korean American community. She currently serves as the president of the Korean American Graduate Medical Association and was the Chair of the Scientific Program Committee of the 2nd Korean American Health Conference.

  Esther Yoon, MD

  Doctor of Family Medicine
  Esther Yoon, MD, Inc.

  Dr. Esther Yoon is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Yoon specializes in family medicine primary care for adults, pediatrics, women’s health and geriatrics. She currently practices in Glendale, California.

  Dr. Yoon is a graduate of the USC Keck School of Medicine andreceived her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her residency training at one of the premier family medicine residencies in the nation at Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California. At VCMC, Dr. Yoon provided compassionate medical care to under-served individuals who experienced difficulties in accessing care. Dr. Yoon worked in partnership with her colleagues to ensure that the migrant farmworker population of Ventura County had maximum access to an optimal level of personal and family health care. After completing her residency, Dr. Yoon served at Las Islas Urgent Care and Adult Protective Services through the County of Ventura.

  John S. Yu, MD

  Director, Surgical Neuro-Oncology
  Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

  John S. Yu is the Medical Director of the Brain Tumor Center and Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is conducting research in immune and stem cell therapy for brain tumors.

  Dr. Yu earned his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and spent a year at the Sorbonne in Paris studying French literature. He completed his fellowship in immunology at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and master's degree from the Harvard University Department of Genetics. He completed his neurosurgical residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Yu is chairman and founder of Kairos Pharma, a development stage biotechnology company focused on immunotherapy and nanotechnology.
