Should there be an emergency of any kind, DIAL 911 ON ANY PHONE. If there are others nearby assisting, and the situation permits it, please also contact the School of Law Administrative Offices front desk at (949) 824-0066 to report the emergency to School of Law staff.

zotALERT Emergency Alert System
zotALERT uses text messaging and email to provide registered students, faculty, and staff with real-time emergency information. Registered users can add up to five contacts (family and friends) to receive the same alerts.
UCI Law Evacuation Procedures
If you are in any of the Law School buildings (LAW, EDUCATION or MPAA), please follow these building evacuation procedures anytime a building alarm sounds.

These guides describe what to do in specific types of emergencies: Earthquake, Evacuation (Fire), Secure-in-Place (Active Shooter), Shelter-in-Place (Environmental Contaminants) and more.
Emergency Training
UCI Emergency Response Procedures Training: This mandatory UCLC training will help educate the campus community on personnel response actions for evacuation, active shooter, and earthquake response. In addition, it will cover what resources are available to you and how you can increase your personnel preparedness.
Active Shooter Training: A video recording of the Workplace Violence and Active Shooter Incidents Presentation tailored for faculty, staff, and students and presented by UCI Police Department
CPR/AED & First Aid: Campus Recreation offers CPR/AED/First Aid training at the Anteater Recreation Center. Anyone interested in receiving this training can register online, in-person, or by calling x4-3738. Although classes cost $70 per person, UCI Staff only have to pay $25 provided they register by phone (or in person) and provide their UCI employee ID number and department location.
Evacuation Chairs: The School of Law has Stryker, Evac+Chair, or Ferno evacuation chairs on certain floors of the Education, Law, and MPAA buildings in the interior stairwells. Zone Crew Training: The UCI Zone Crew is comprised of building facility managers and volunteers across campus that will help facilitate building evacuations in an emergency.
